Inaugural Robby Mayasich Memorial Cup Awarded to Chaparral Varsity Lacrosse Team
Chaparral beats Brophy 8-7
Robby Mayasich Memorial Cup
The Chaparral Lacrosse Club has chosen to honor Robby Mayasich by establishing "The Robby Mayasich Memorial Cup."  The Chaparral Firebirds and the Brophy Broncos have long been rivals on the lacrosse field, competing with unparrelled intensity and mutual respect for one another. But off the field we are all part of the Lacrosse familiy in Arizona.  The sport of lacrosse and each of our school's commitment to excellence truly connects each player to one another.
Robby was well known and loved in many circles.  Many of us knew Robby personnally, through academics or while playing alongside him on the lacrosse field.  By establishing the Robby Mayasich traveling cup, we hope to forever preserve his memory in the Arizona Lacrosse community.
The Robby Mayasich Memorial Cup will be awarded to the winner of each regular season game that is played between the Chaparral and Brophy Varsity teams.  This Memorial Cup embodies the idea of team spirit that captures the way Robby approached life and to honor a young man that touched so many lives.
